My name is Linda Wedding, I am actaully a decendent of Major Benjamin Stites, he helped settle Cincinnati in 1788, he settled the part which is known as Coloumbia, which is now a part of Cincinnati. My mother is Estella Stites Kinner. She married my dad, John Kinner and soon they moved to the country, after having three children. I grew up there and married my husband Dave after waiting four years for him while he served his tour of duty in the Navy, spending the last 14 months in Danang, Viet Nam. We eventually, had a daughter and a son. They have given us between them 6 granddaughters (Grandgirls). It is the grandgirls who brought us to the horses. They loved horses as well as we did. So, after seeing on tv a local rescue group for horses, my husband and I made a visit to the horse rescue and ended up over a period of time adopting three and purchasing one and also adopting three goats, one of which has three legs. Once we brought the horses home to Grandma Kinners farm, we could no longer volunteer for the horse rescue, so I wrote the book, "The Blue Eyed Tri-Colored American Paint: A Lesson in Trust for Baby". It is a heartwarming story, although it is a childrens book with 25 colored pictures in it, it is an excellent read for anyone who loves horses and can appreciate horse rescue and adoption, with some basic horse care. It is my hope that if one horse has a better life than two of mine had before they got to the rescue, they came from a kill barn, one of which was turned out to passture to die. I will die a happy person. I hope this book promotes horse rescue and adoption. Since I wrote the book, that was four years in the making, horses are no longer slaughtered in this country, the push now is to stop them from being shipped out of country for slaughter. So, if you are interested in my horses and goats story and how they all came together to live at Grandma Kinner's farm, you can purchase a copy of my book at PublishAmerica.com or at any book store online.
Happy Trail and Horse Tales! :-)
